I adopted 2D hand-drawn animation in my graduate work, BOX-HOME, which primarily focused on the living status of two bulky persons. Inspired by Alain Gagnol and especially by his innovative artistic style and profound meaning, I made some innovations in my project. Instead of drawing by colored pencils, I adopted coloring by computer and fixed shot to highlight those characters. This was the first time I embarked on the independent work, including music processing and post-production. Though exhausted, I was overwhelmed by gratification and sense of achievement upon the output of every shot.
